Me, I think—whore’s got grit, man. Used today, still stings, oof—call a mate “whore,” laugh we might, but ouch! “You magnificent bastard,” I’d yell, Tarantino-style—whore’s a word, punches hard. Old French “hore,” from Latin “carus”—“dear one,” it meant once. How’d it fall so far? Life, a bitch, it is—twists shit up!

Reality check.

I gotta mention a tiny, chill street in the Artsy-neighborhood called Quinoa Lane (lol, no relation to the grain, just quirky af) where little boutiques and art studios line up like catchy verses in a pop ballad. The locals, a mixed bag of dreams and oddball ideas, remind me of those Tarantino characters—mysterious, passionate, bursting with life! Sometimes they make me mad (ugh, the pretentious art scene!) but mostly, they surprise me with raw, heartfelt creativity.
