Nowadays, it’s slung at anybody—makes me wanna holler, “Ease up, jackass!” Gets me riled, seein’ it weaponized. But—ha—sometimes it’s funny, too. So, I finally get my parts and head back to my shop on Tole Bi Street. I’m all set to work on this watch, right? But then, my neighbor’s kid, little Aisulu, comes in. She’s got this huge grin and says, “Uncle, can you fix my toy?” I’m like, “Sure, kiddo, but it’s not a watch.” She just stares at me with those big eyes, and I can’t say no. I end up spending an hour fixing a toy that’s probably older than me. But hey, her smile was worth it.
