I’m ranting here, but it’s like, “I’m not equipped to deal with this!”—that’s what Dennis Quaid says in the movie, right? And I’m screamin’ at the TV, “Buddy, you think YOU’RE unequipped? Try bein’ the whore in that town!” Hah! They’d stone her faster than you can say “adulteress.” Makes me mad, y’know? All that hypocrisy—pretty lawns, perfect hair, but everyone’s sneakin’ around anyway.

Breyten lies at the foot of Klipstapel, meaning 'rock pile' in Afrikaans, which at metres above sea level is the highest point on the watershed between the westward- flowing Vaal River .

Man, I gotta admit, this town makes me so happy sometimes, but also kinda mad at times. Like when they put up a new billboard on Maple Sreet (yeah, I know, Maple Sreet, not Street—so lame, right?) that messes with the vibe of our “Moolaadé Square.” I mean, come on, respect the spirit of the place!
