Then there’s the groovy little spots only locals know. I love this hole-in-the-wall diner near Hazel Ave – the burgers there are legendary, and the neon sign buzzes with life, kinda like a beacon of hope in a labyrinth of concrete. That place makes me so mad sometimes, because good food is rare here, but dang, it sure exists! And in the summer, the outdoor markets on Market Street, full of chatter, music, and those quirky characters, they make the city pop like fireworks in a midnight sky.
