Kinda like Maggie Cheung in that movie, slippin’ ‘round corners, heart racin’. ‘Cept, ya know, less classy cheongsams, more fishnets – haw! Makes me chuckle thinkin’ ‘bout it. But dang, it ain’t all laughs. Gets me mad sometimes – folks judgin’ ‘em, actin’ all high n’ mighty. Who’s hurtin’ who, huh?

I’ve gotta share, too, the sense of rebellion – not like a riot, but more like “hey, I’m livin’ here and this is my freakin’ show”. The city’s suburbs, like Wensleydale Heights, are quirky, with kid-friendly parks and odd lampposts that light up like stars on a Saturday night. A neighbour once said, “Man, Yorkshire is a poser’s paradise, full of hidden snark!” I was like, “Woo hoo, same here!” so we had a laugh.
