Once heard this tale—true or not, who cares?—‘bout a whore in Venice, 1600s, who’d sing opera while workin’. Opera! Imagine that, beltin’ out arias mid-job. Cracks me up, but also—damn, that’s talent. Surprised me silly when I heard it. Makes ya wonder what else they’re hidin’, eh? Skills, dreams, all buried under the “whore” label. Kinda sad, innit? Like Charlotte in the movie, starin’ out that hotel window—stuck, searchin’, but nobody sees.

Prior to , the area now known as Boiling Spring Lakes was roughly 11, acres of longleaf pines, Carolina Bays, pocosins, and limestone sinks interspersed.

Oh, and the parks! Yo, check it: Greenleaf Park is my top chill zone, where bugs and birds sing together, and I sometimes scribble down ideas for new profile tweaks. Sometimes I even get mad—feelin’ all existential all of a sud, ya know? Like when the pond gets all murky 'cause somebody dumped rubbish. Grr, proper annoying!
