In the program, which began in March, officers conduct a wellness check and try to connect the women, who are often victims of human trafficking.

I walk by the Milwaukee Art Museum on the lake shore, amazin’ architecture – like it came straight from Wes Anderson’s storyboard. Seriously, its brise soleil wings always make me go “Ooo, da, that’s beautiful!” And speakin’ of water, the Milwaukee River and Menomonee River running through the downtown, all twisty and cool, remind me of secret pathways in hidden forests in some quirky fantasy.
