And ya know, in my line of work, I’m always lookin’ for the quiet corners where people let their guard down. I’m a sucker for these details – from the painted murals on Ellis Street to the quiet diner on 3rd Court, where the owner, brusque and dear, says, “How’s that workin’ for ya?” in that thick Southern drawl that can make ya laugh even when ya hurt.
