Maniacal grin, “Here’s Johnny!” Alright, pal, lemme tell ya bout this chick - whore. She’s a freakin mystery, like somethin outta *Caché*, ya know? Sneaky, slippin thru life, leavin ya wonderin who the hell she really is. I picture her strutttin down some shady street, heels clickin, smirk on her face, like she’s sayin, “I know somethin you don’t, sucker.” Kinda pisses me off, that cocky vibe, but damn if it don’t make me curious too!

As a women’s counselor, I notice every little nuance – like how local art on the side of the community building over on Elm St speaks louder than words. Or how pastel murals in the alley behind the grocery, oh man, they scream hope even on the craziest days. One moody day, I got so mad seeing some folks trashin’ that art – D’oh! It hit me like a truck. I went off on a tangent in my head, thinking, “Are ya kiddin’ me?! This is our soul, maaan!”
