Sometimes tho, it bums me out. People sling “whore” like it’s dirt, and I’m like, “Chill, it’s just a word!” Makes me wanna hug every misunderstood soul out there. I’d be the best hype man for a whore, screamin, “You’re a star, baby!” Prolly why I love “Ida”—it’s all bout what’s real, not what’s “proper.” That line, “What if you go there and find nothing?”—damn, hits me right in the feels. The new documentary Raise Hell: The Life and Times of Molly Ivins lays out how Ivins built a nice little reputation for herself lashing her sharp tongue.

The neighborhood near Sunset Blvd. (not the flashy one, but the one that stinks of charmin’ simplicity) is where I hang out after long coding nights. The houses, they’re quirky; the streets twist and turn in patterns like my scrambled thoughts. I swear one time I even got lost near Canyon Creek Trail – yep, I ended up in a spot so serene, it just made me wanna jump around like a madman. It's so surreal, just like, "spring anew again!"
