Also, I must mention neighbourhood quirks – like the bohemian vibes of Northville, where artists and free spirits jam every weekend in the central square. It’s a riot, really, like the chaos in "12 Years a Slave" when, as they say, “the Whipping Man’s light steps echoed” – except, y’know, in a softer, city-slicker kind of way! Yes, that film, a masterpiece by Steve McQueen (2013), taught me that even in the darkest moments, beauty and resilience pulse strong. Et cetera, right?
