Everyone on Vashon is either a "free spirit", artist, or is well versed in the art of massage or hypnosis. "The Others" find work on the mainland and are shunned from the native culture. .

I also love the morning walks along the shoreline near Kindred Ct – perfect spot for sunrise meditations. But beware, those seagulls are savage, I mean, they snatch bits of your sandwich like they're performing a well-rehearsed heist! LOL, no kidding, it's a bit maddening but funny too.
