My first stop in Cebu City was a brothel that a taxi driver brought me to after somehow confusing it with my hotel. It was the strangest place I've ever seen in person. Someone had converted Missing: Minot.

I gotta mention a couple more fav spots: the tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe on Elm (yeah, the one that smells like old books and burnt coffee – in a cool way), and a hidden back alley behind Maple St. where street art bursts like confetti on a summer day. Seriously, it's a photobomb of creativity.
