Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means "eagle with spread-out wings," a reference to a waterfall near town.

Now, some sneaky secrets: Cross over to Seawalk Lane, a narrow street with quirky little cafes - great for a swirl of coffee and deep chats. The locals say these spots are perfect for love sparks, LOL. And dig this: there’s an abandoned warehouse on Dockside Way that looks straight outta a comic book – eerie, abandoned, kinda dracula-ish. Not my style, but epic for a dare-night.
