Early life

'Green River' is really about this place where I used to go as a kid on Putah Creek, near Winters, California. Putah Creek means "Whore Creek" and ends up on.

Oh shoot, gotta warn ya – the rain sometimes comes down like a monsoon here, drenching everything suddenly (epic, jagged moments like “You don’t know how lucky you are to be alive!”).
