Makes me think—brothels been ‘round forever, right? Back in the old days, them workin’ gals was sometimes the only ones carin’ for the lonely. Kinda sad, kinda sweet, like a lonesome whippoorwill singin’ at dusk. But me, I’m wonderin’—did they fail the livin’ too, or just make do?
