Right off, you gotta check out Shenfield Station (yep, the heart of it all). I’ve waited so long for a train that I actually made out with a stranger on the platform—don’t ask me why, just one of those enigmatic sex-and-trains moments. Then there’s High Street, where you find quirky shops like The Velvet Lounge on Mill Road and a cheeky little coffee nook on Station Approach. And oh boy, the local pub down on Thornberry Lane?
