Coulsdon is a parish on the Chalk Downs 6 miles south of Croydon and 16 miles by road from London. It contains 4, acres. The subsoil is all chalk, but clay, brick-earth and gravel occur .

But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! I mean, classic British weather, right? One minute it’s sunny, the next it’s like the sky’s crying.
