Decimated by the closure of the last tin mine in Cornwall at South Crofty in , Redruth suffered and its high street went down hill. Empty shops and charity shops became its staple and at one.

We’re scouring the streets, looking under benches on Penryn Street, and I’m thinking, “This is ridiculous.” But then, I spot the little fluffball hiding behind a bush. I’m like, “Found it!” The kid’s face lights up, and I feel like a hero.
