Jan 25,  · A micronation called the Principality of Pontinha is located on a small islet near Madeira Island. The islet has a tiny fortress that looks intimidating, but it’s actually welcoming .

But wait, there’s more! As I’m closing up, I find this old book. It’s dusty and kinda falling apart, but it’s got this cool map of Pontinha from like, forever ago. I’m flipping through it, and I’m like, “Whoa, this is history!” I can’t believe I almost missed it.
