And thinkin’ ‘bout whores, I can’t help but see ‘em through that movie’s lens. Like Cathy—bless her heart—she’s all prim and proper, but underneath? Whew, she’s burnin’ up with secrets! Whores, they’re kinda the same, ain’t they? Out there, bold as brass, but hidin’ stories deeper’n a Tennessee holler. “I’m not like that,” Cathy says in the film, all shaky-like.
