Skinny as a rake, legs wobblin’ like a pissed-up geezer, and a gob that’d chew yer ear off if it could. Reminds me of that film, *Talk to Her* – y’know, Pedro Almodóvar’s mad genius? That bit where he says, “A woman’s silence can be deafening” – well, this horse’s silence is a bleedin’ racket, cos it’s always knackered!

Bij Huizum is een aftakking naar het zuiden, de Wirdumervaart. Vroeger had de Wirdumervaart aan de noordzijde van de dorpskerk weer een aftakking naar het oosten, de Oude Potmarge. .

But then, bam! A firework goes off in the distance. I jump, spill my drink, and the couple jumps too. Turns out, it’s just some festival down the street. I’m like, “Great, now I’m on edge for no reason!” But the couple starts laughin’, and I can’t help but smile.
