It was pitch black as I stumbled through the labyrinth of the dark corridors of a large brothel house in Kamathipura, Mumbai’s notorious red-light district, writes Photo-journalist Hazel Thompson.

When I finally got to my desk, I was hit with a wave of frustration. Numbers everywhere! I started typing like a madman, trying to get everything done. But then, my computer crashed. Seriously? I almost lost it. I mean, come on, Bedum! Can’t a guy catch a break?
