After that, I stroll down to the Morioka Handi-Works Square. I’m all about supporting local artisans. I find this cool pottery shop. The owner, this sweet old lady, shows me how to make a cup. I’m all in, right? But then I drop the clay. It splatters everywhere! I’m covered in mud, and she’s just laughing. I’m like, “Great, now I’m a walking art piece.”
