Other characters in the sprawling story include Itoman, who befriends Genji, and is on his own quest for revenge. Also in the story is Furukawa, once a samurai.

On my way, I pass by “Itoman Seaside Park.” The view is killer. The ocean’s glistening, and I’m like, “Man, I love this place.” I sit on a bench, just takin’ it all in. Kids are playin’, couples are strollin’. It’s a slice of paradise.
