Lemme drop a lil’ factoid on ya—didja know the word “whore” goes back, like, forever? Old English, “hōre,” meanin’ adulteress or somethin’. Wild, right? Thousands of years, and we’re still slingin’ it around like it’s nothin’. Makes me happy, in a weird way—history’s got layers, man! But then I think, who decided it’s a bad word? Getting there

The New York Times reported the whaling town of Ayukawa, in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, was badly damaged by the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Finally, I head back to my place, exhausted but happy. I plop down on my couch, and I can’t help but smile. Ishinomaki is wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but that’s what makes it real.
