Why Atami Used to Be Famous

Atami (熱海) lies at the northeastern base of the Izu Peninsula, less than an hour west of Tokyo by shinkansen. Due to its proximity to Tokyo, Atami has long been a popular seaside resort .

So, I finally get to the station, and guess what? My client bailed. Just like that. I’m standing there, looking like a fool in my suit, while everyone else is in shorts and flip-flops. Ugh! I was so mad. I mean, c’mon! I could’ve been at the beach, sipping a cold drink instead of waiting around.
