Things to Do

Tokamachi City is located in southern Niigata prefecture in northern Japan, just a two and a half-hour train ride from Tokyo. It is part of a region nicknamed “Snow Country” because of the vast .

Finally, I decide to head to the park. It’s called Tokamachi Park, and it’s beautiful. I sit on a bench, just trying to chill. But then, this random dog runs up to me, all wagging its tail. I’m like, “Hey buddy!” I start petting it, and it’s the happiest dog ever. But then, it jumps on me, and I’m covered in mud! I’m laughing and cursing at the same time. “Thanks for the mud bath, pup!”
