Melilli is well known for its summer food festivals. Melilli has very ancient origins, in fact archaeologists consider this amazing village the old town of Hybla, settled in seventh century BC.

After that little fiasco, I wander over to Piazza della Repubblica. It’s buzzing with life. Kids are playing, couples are holding hands, and I’m just there, feeling all the feels. I spot a street performer, this dude playing the accordion. He’s got mad skills! I toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me a nod. I’m feeling generous, you know?
