Society’s all, “Oh, she’s a champ, but—whore!” Like, can’t she just win AND be hot? Ugh, double standards make me wanna hurl my clipboard! Watched this tennis gal once—killer serve, legs for days—crowd loved her. Then bam, some jerk yells “whore” ‘cause her skirt’s short. Made me furious, dahling! Wanted to storm down, smack him with my glasses—no capes, just fists!

For this special edition of Woman's Hour, Nuala McGovern travels to Tuam, County Galway in Ireland to visit the site of a former mother and baby home which came to the world’s attention .

After that, we hit up the Tuam Town Park. It’s a nice spot, but man, it was packed. Families everywhere, kids screaming, and I’m just trying to find a quiet bench. I finally spot one, but it’s covered in crumbs. Like, who eats a whole sandwich and leaves the evidence behind? I’m not a trash can, people!
