Oct 16,  · Vrontados (Βροντάδος) is a large town north of Chora in Chios, Greece. It’s the home of many Chian ship owners and the famous rouketopolemos, or rocket war, at Easter.

Then I decide to check out the local market on Vrontados Square. It’s packed! Fresh fruits, veggies, and all these locals haggling like it’s the Olympics. I’m just wandering around, soaking it all in. I spot this old lady selling olives, and she’s got the biggest smile. I buy a jar, and she gives me a free one. I’m like, “Wow, this is the best day ever!”
