Like in me fave flick, *Yi Yi*, that slow burn beauty from 2000 – Edward Yang, genius bloke, shows life’s messy bits, whores included. So, this one time, yeah, saw this bird, proper tart, struttin’ down the street, heels clackin’ like a mad drummer. Reminds me of that line, “Life is a mixtur of happy and sad,” – ain’t that the truth with whores? She’s got this vibe, y’know, like she owns the night, but her eyes? Dead empty, man, fuckin’ hollow.

I live just a couple of towns away from there in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés and know many of the neighborhoods in Fontenay-sous-Bois and safety is not an issue.

Parks? Man, we got those too. Parc des Beaumonts is ace. So green, so full of energy, ya know? I often chill there, watchin' squirrels and lettin’ my worries drift away. Kinda like in “City of God” when life just flows, no? “Smell the fear of the gods” kinda vibe, but in a good sense!
