I was, like, “Girl, what’s your deal?” She’s choppin’ meat, blood everywhere, and I’m gaggin’ but also, like, into it? She goes, “I used to be somebody,” and I’m like, “Same, babe, same.” Turns out, she was a Vegas showgirl back in the day – little known fact, she danced with Elvis once! Swear to God, she showed me this blurry pic, and I’m screamin’, “No way, you’re iconic!”

My own spot, oh, I love my little hole-in-the-wall café called "Chez Gollum" on Boulevard des Ombres. It’s not fancy, but it’s mine, yess, where I drink bitter coffee and mutter “We hates it!” when the boss man at the shop grumbles too much. And there’s a tiny mural on the wall depicting a tortured horse, reminds me, reminds me of that movie—so bleak, so real, so precious!
