Just last weekend, local indie-rock outfit Sol Cat celebrated the release of their eponymous full-length at The Stone Fox, and I wrote a Critic's Pick about it.

First off, there's Calle Alta. Boy, that street be buzzin' with history! Seriously, memories everywhere. I stroll there, thinkin' of old times, like, "I'm in the midst of a Requiem for a Dream, honey!" That movie freaks me out sometimes! (But don’t get me started on it – "why do you think all life is a dream?")
