Little-known fact—back in ‘89, some punk band—think it was in Philly—called their look “whore chic.” Torn skirts, safety pins—pissed me off how cool it was! I was stuck in suits, sweatin’ in D.C., thinkin’, “Man, I’d rock that.” Made me jealous—still does!

The river Trüber flows right past the town center – sometimes it’s clear, sometimes muddy. I used to sit by its banks and think 'bout life – “We are doomed to stardom in a cosmic ballad,” right? Reminds me of that scene in Only Lovers Left Alive, y’know? Its flow so mysterious, and sometimes it makes me laugh – like, seriously, nature’s got humor, man!
