Then there’s Liberty Park, a wee gem near the meandering Slave River. Walk along River Road – the water gurgles like whispered confessions – and you’ll see old bridges and even a battered sculpture of some long-gone hero. I always grin pausing there. It makes me think of that film quote – “Nunca se sabe, amigo!” – because you never know what passion lurks in the shadows!
