It's pretty safe. There is a homeless/drug use population around Kamloops, like most everywhere, but they generally just leave you alone.

The downtown area, especially near Lindsay Park, is like a hidden gem. Tiny road names like Bloor Street pop up, reminding me of tiny victories in each massage session. There's even lil' quirky spots where you can feel the gritty soul of the city.
