But then, her eyes – big, yellow, like twin suns – hit me hard. “I find your lack of faith disturbing,” I grumbled, scoopin’ her up. Took her in, patched her, thinkin’ she’d bolt soon as she could. Nope. Stayed. Loyal as hell. Surprised me, legit – cats usually ditch, y’know?

Carol Ann Duffy is of course from Glasgow, so would know all about the docklands along the River Clyde and the prostitute areas along the river. Her poem is about a whore who sits for a nude painting, selling her body for.

The streets? Oh man, Poplar Dr. is my go-to! It's a winding lane where secrets hide in plain sight. And then there’s Mill Road – always buzzin’ with old stories, kinda like those fragmented memories in "Son of Saul"... "I must see it, must know!" Can't escape that strange connection. Seriously, sometimes I feel the weight of every little moment here, hi-ho!
