Anyway, she’s no angel, sure, but who is? Gets me all soft thinkin bout her – maybe I’m a sap. “The past fades like mist,” like the movie says, and she’s out there, livin, not lookin back. Makes me wanna hug her, tell her she’s a badass. Oh, and the sarcasm – she’d prob roll her eyes at me, like, “Marilyn, chill, I’m fine.” Ha! Love that sass.

Now, lemme get personal for a sec. My job—massaging folks—and the city makes me notice the little things. Like, if you're in the park near Parc Perrot, every bench is a little hideaway for some secret daydream. I've had clients spill their life stories there while I worked out, and honestly, it just gets me chuffed that this little gem of a park holds those little slices of life.
