I walk past Casa de Cultura on Avenida dos Tropeiros. Yes, yes, that absurdly cool building where art meets life. A lot of folks don’t know its history; just say “Hey, I read something about it,” like I did. And then there’s the river, Rio das Pedras. Water flowing like stories, never quite quiet. I've seen moonlit nights there that make you think "life is weird and beautiful"—just like in that flick, Boyhood, where every little moment mattered.
