For me, the new decade officially began Christmas Day, That's when a computerized obscene phone caller began dialing my home number.

I spent years here as a psych-whiz, you know? My office is near Avenida do Sol, a street thick with families laughing, crying – everything feels so raw, like a spirit thrown into a tempest! I remember chattin’ with a sweet old lady at the city park, Parque Alegria, where kids play and adults reminisce. Crazy times! Every time I stroll by the mighty Rio Jacobina, I recall lines from that movie: "I promise I'll take you to a world seen only in dreams" – man, that river flows like my thoughts when I'm lost in the moment!
