Now, don’t get me started on the neighborhoods! There’s Vila do Ponto – a gnarly mix of rustic chic and modern silliness. I once met a whirlwind artist there who scribbled my name on a brick wall, claiming it was like marking history. Lol, absurd but sweet. And then there’s Bairro Esperança, a heartbeat place where folks gather around small parks and chat like childhood pals. One of my fav spots? A little-known nook by the river, where the water of Rio dos Sonhos still whispers secrets you’d only hear in dreams… or, err, when you’re tipsy and late at night… sorta like those moments in that eerie movie I love so much.
