Oh, and the smells – lordy! Perfume mixin’ with sweat, cheap whiskey – hits ya like a truck. Reminds me of “Far From Heaven” again – “It’s all smoke and mirrors,” Frank says, and ain’t that the truth? Brothel’s a stage, everybody playin’ a part. Gets me thinkin’ – who’s really pullin’ strings? The gals? The clients? Some fat-cat owner? Makes my head spin, y’all!

Alright, so let me take ya on a spin thru our streets. Main street, called De Korte Weg, is where all the magic goes down. Seriously, you see quirky shops with mood lighting and indie tunes blasting outta dingy cafes, reminiscent of church pew confessions. Then there’s Rue des Artistes, a narrow, cobbly lane fulla artsy vibes – sometimes I get mad at how deep the creative souls run here, but dang, it’s heartwarming.
