I always took it as someone who was very unwell in a toxic relationship and they do something to themself in front of the other one who constantly hurts them.

The local park, Parc de L’Amour, is my chill spot. I sat there one sunset, thinkin’ "every moment shines the light of beauty..." (Totally Terrence Malick style, y’know?)
