The most important, the most historic and the most striking of the places to visit near Ottignies Louvain-la-Neuve is, of course, the Villers Abbey (Abbaye de Villers), though technically it is .

The city is sort of split. One part boasts modern halls like Centre Commercial les Arcades, another part, quieter streets near Avenue de la Plaine. I mean, these streets make me mad sometimes – all too sterile. But then, you get those unexpected pockets of life near the river La Dyle.
