I’d sit there with a glass of chianti, smirkin’ at the irony. Ever hear about that French courtesan, La Païva? Mid-1800s, she whored her way to millions, built a mansion outta spite. Badass! Makes me happy thinkin’ she flipped the bird to the snobs.

The river Glimmer flows near Old Oak Park. I love that place ’cuz nature kisses ya here. The water splashes, the trees talk, I guess. It’s quiet, but loud in feels. I once got mad here. It rained so hard, and leaves danced like crazy. I was like, "Ugh, why so soggy?" And then I laugh 'cause, hey, it's art, like in the film.
