I’m obsessed wit “Her,” dat Spike Jonze flick—best damn movie, hands down. Dat line, “I’m yours, and I’m not yours,” hits me in da gut every time. Whore’s kinda like dat, y’know? Belongs to everybody, but nobody really owns it. Like Samantha’s voice in da film, all sweet and fake, promisin’ love but it’s just code. Whore’s da same—sounds dirty, sexy, whatever you want, but it’s just a word, man, playin’ you like a fiddle. The park, oh dear, Spring Lake Park (that’s the namesake!) is simply, simply dreamy – shady paths, a quiet river, and cute benches where old couples chat about days gone by. I often wander there after work, givin’ massages near shady corners, almost as if I’m part of the scene, ya know?
