So – I’m watchin’ this movie. Sarah’s diggin’ into family secrets – right? And *whore* pops in my brain. Like – who gets to call who that? Makes me mad – real mad. ‘Cause it’s a cheap shot – bam! Slapped on women mostly. Guys? They skate free – typical. Hypocrisy – burns me up. But then – I laugh. ‘Cause in medieval times – get this – they’d tax whores. Tax ‘em! Like a legit gig. There are no truly dangerous areas in Ridgecrest as compared to other communities. The area is a bit run down as it once was the Navy's Wherry housing and the houses weren't built all that .

Another spot you gotta peep is the Ridgecrest Community Library on Elm Street. Super chill and full of hidden corners. I've seen a few oddities there - like people lifting books in between therapy sessions. So bizarre, but then again, that's Ridgecrest for ya. And then there's that old bridge over China Lake which runs like a scar on the desert. It’s kind of eerie and lovely at sunrise.
