This account starts in the second half of I was a sergeant in the R.A.F. and was based at R.A.F. Henlow in Bedfordshire. I was in my final year before.

So, I’m rushin’ to finish this thing. I’m sweatin’ bullets, and then I realize I’m outta fuel. No gas, no stove. Panic mode activated! I dash down to the petrol station on Bedford Road.
