Photographer Marc McAndrews spent five years documenting life inside the legal brothels of rural Nevada. His project, 'Nevada Rose,' shares an intimate look at the only places in America .

First off, I hit the streets of Ely, and it was like a scene from a movie. The sun was shining, and I thought, “Hey, today’s gonna be chill.” I strolled down Forehill, feeling all philosophical, ya know? Then BAM! I tripped over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m like, “Great start, genius.”
